We needed a different approach, something that would be engaging, with easy lessons that wouldn’t overwhelm. I believe this was in part due to the long lessons. I couldn’t imagine continuing to push through it when my daughter was struggling to retain what she was learning. We didn’t have the time to spend an entire afternoon with one subject at such an early grade level. In the past year it took us over an hour to complete language arts each day. My daughter needed something different than the curriculum we had been using. I needed a something that didn’t take a lot of time for me to read ahead and create lesson plans for.
